Start Time

My outdoor sessions are scheduled during golden hour only.  Outdoor sessions will take place about 90 minutes before sunset. This is when the lighting is best to give nice, even lighting in your photos. I know that sometimes this will be past your child’s bedtime but trust me….it’s worth it to adjust their schedule a little bit just for one day.  In order to make sure that you receive the best possible images from your session, I will not budge on the start time for your session.  Yes….I completely understand that the start time might be past your child’s bedtime.  I get it.  I was crazy about sticking to a routine and schedule for my own kids.  But I can assure you, one night will be just fine.  I’ll give you some tips on how to help your child still be happy during a late session.  In the end, it will be worth it!!  You can’t get images like these without shooting during this time!

Session Locations

Before your session, we will work together to pick out the perfect location.  Sessions can take place at a local park, a historic place, a hotel lobby, or in the comfort of your own home.  I have gained a lot of knowledge of our area of what locations photograph well for pictures.  Sometimes, a place that you think might be beautiful for photos might not have very good light for photos.  Having a location with good light is crucial for your photographs to look good.  And by good light, I’m not specifically talking about sunshine……because cloudy days can photograph just as beautifully as sunny days.  I ask that you trust me and let me guide you to the best possible location for your session.

Newborn lifestyle sessions will typically take place within your own home.  Studio newborn sessions will take place in my home studio in Chester Springs, PA. Studio sessions are only scheduled during the late morning/early afternoon on WEEKDAYS ONLY!

In the summer months, we can always attempt an outdoor newborn session too which I absolutely love!!  I want our sessions to be laid back and fun!  And don’t forget to book a sunset beach session during the summer.

And on limited dates, I’ll even offer sessions at the beach! I shoot in Ocean City, NJ.
