I always receive questions about what to wear for your session.  Regarding what to wear…the only things I would stay away from are conflicting patterns, large logos, or very busy designs on clothing.  I think that solids, plaids and different textures and layers look great for fall/holiday photos.  For the warmer months, I love flowing dresses and brighter colors (but stay away from neon.  This can cause a terrible color cast on your skin).  Colors that compliment each other work best for larger families but definitely don’t be too matchy-matchy.  It’s really all about how you want your photos to look.  It can be casual or formal….totally up to you!  Just as a side note, if you’re wanting a large color print for a room in your house, be sure to think about what color your room decor is while deciding on your clothing  choice.

I now have a styling assistant program that all of my clients will have access to!  It’s so easy to use. You fill out a questionnaire with the number of members in your family, gender and sizes. You’ll also enter in which colors and what general clothing style you are thinking of using during your session. The program will then automatically pull up different outfit choices for each member of your family that will coordinate together! Outfits will be selected from common stores like Target, Old Navy, Lulu’s, Gap, H&M, Carter’s, etc. You can then click on the outfit and it will bring you directly to the store’s site to purchase it! Even if you don’t want to buy all new outfits for your family, this site will be a valuable tool in creating ideas on how to style your own family! I am really so excited about being able to offer this to you all! Great outfit choices really do help to make your photos look that much better!
