I always receive questions about what to wear for your session. Regarding what to wear…the only things I would stay away from conflicting patterns, large logos, or designs on clothing. I think that solids, plaids and argyle look great for holiday photos. For the warmer months, I love flowing dresses and fun colors (but stay away from neon). Colors that compliment each other work best for larger families. It’s really all about how you want your photos to look. It can be casual or formal….totally up to you! Just as a side note, if you’re wanting a large color print for a room in your house, be sure to think about what color your room decor is while deciding on your clothing choice.
I know how difficult it can be to pick outfits for your session. To give you a little bit of help, I created a board on pinterest with several ideas on coordinating outfits. I hope this helps! https://www.pinterest.com/mnmfamilyphoto/what-to-wear/.
Also, these are included on my pinterest board but here are two really helpful articles:
Feel free to send me pictures of what you plan to wear and I can help steer you in the right direction to get the most out of your session!
